…….only 2 ingredients!
This homemade 2-ingredient de icer spray melts snow and will remove ice from your car locks and ice from your windshield. It melts ice on contact!
It’s that time of year . . . sooooo cold, snowy and icy! And with all the snow and ice comes frozen locks and ice covered windshields. This can be a problem! And, it’s no fun to stand in the freezing cold scraping off ice, scraping some more, and then trying to scrape some more, right?! A special thanks to my Aunt Pat who showed us this easy diy solution to get rid of the ice on your car windshield. This stuff is AMAZING!!! All you need is 2 ingredients and you probably already have them on hand.
This 2 Ingredient Homemade De-Icer Spray is something you need to have on hand this time of year! Keep a bottle in your car during the winter months. While others are standing in the bitter cold scraping the ice off of their cars, you can grab your spray, spray down your windshield and watch the ice melt!
If you don’t want ice to form at all on your windshield, there are some other options. Maybe you’ve seen windshield snow and ice covers; these protect your car from the weather elements. They are meant to easily go on and off and can be stored in your trunk or back seat. So, if you don’t want to deal with ice at all, get yourself one of these windshield covers for ice and snow.

Here’s how easy it is to make:
- Using a funnel, pour 1 cup of water into the 24-25 oz. spray bottle.
- Add 1-1.5 cups of 91% isopropyl alcohol.
- Shake it up to mix.
- Spray onto an icy windshield or into car locks to melt the ice!
Thinking about making this? You really, really should! You will be so happy later that you did.
Mix up a bottle or two and keep them in convenient places so you have them on hand when your car windshield is iced over or your car doors or locks are frozen shut.
It really works!
