This Easy DIY Rustic Centerpiece will fit into so many different styles.
I made these for a rustic/boho style baby shower, but wouldn’t they be so pretty at a wedding or luncheon or bridal shower?
You know us Sisters, we are ALWAYS looking for simple and budget friendly decor ideas that look amazing and top notch! This one is just that. You only need a handful of supplies and a short amount of time to get these centerpieces made and ready for your event!
I was able to get everything I needed in one quick trip to Hobby Lobby, and one quick trip up into the woods behind my house for branches. My little fellas helped with this, so it was an extra benefit to get them out in the fresh, but chilly!, air for a few minutes. And now they have their own stick pile out on the deck. 😉 Boys haha. 😛
One quick mention about Hobby Lobby… always be sure to check their sales, and if a certain item is not on sale, grab a 40% off coupon from their website. It is a rare thing for me to ever pay full price for something from Hobby Lobby!!!
SUPPLY LIST for DIY Rustic Centerpiece:
handful of small branches (mine are about 2 ft long)
string of any kind (to hold the branches in one bunch)
greenery (I used eucalyptus from Hobby Lobby)
small simple flowers ( I used some paper flowers from the wedding section at Hobby Lobby)
green zip ties (these are a must!)
STEP ONE
Arrange the branches into a bunch that looks pleasing and make sure it will lay flat when you set it down. Tie some string around the center, or use a zip tie, to hold the branches just how you like them.
STEP TWO
Clip off a piece of eucalyptus from the bunch approximately 10″ in length. Gently wrap this in a circle and place on the center of the branches. Using 2-3 zip ties, attach the greenery to the branches.
STEP THREE
Attach 2-3 small flowers into the center of the arrangement using the hot glue gun. So gorgeous! This will also help hide any zip ties that might be peeking through. I love the little pack of paper flowers with fringed cardboard centers I found. They were half off, so I got a 6pk for $1.50! Can’t beat that!
Decorating Tip:
These centerpieces look beautiful on a burlap runner or with a circle mat under the center of them.
Try them on a light runner with a darker tablecloth for a richer deeper look or on a sheer or tulle runner and a light cloth for a more elegant look!
