How to make a super easy DIY fall sign for fall decor
One of my favorite things to do with the changing seasons is to redecorate my shelves! This How to Style Floating Shelves for Christmas post shows all the wonderful things you can find to make your shelves look perfect. But before Christmas comes fall, and I was ready to decorate with some fun oranges and yellows!
I love decor that can be repurposed for the season!
This sign is perfect for that because it can be used several times throughout the year by changing out the papers in the clipboards. For Valentines Day, I actually cut felt hearts in pinks and reds and clip them in there. For Christmas, I am excited to clip in some Christmas printables that I will be sharing with you soon.
For this sign, all that I needed was a wood base, enough felt to cover it, and mini clipboards from Walmart. You will find them in the craft department. Aren’t they cute? 🙂
I got my shelves from Hobby Lobby a couple years ago, and they are still available to purchase here! They also have a ton of other CUTE options for tiered shelves.
For my sign base, I actually used a sign that I already had, and covered it in the gray felt! You can also start fresh with a plain wooden sign, also available in many different sizes at Hobby Lobby.
To cover your sign, simply wrap the sign like you would wrap a present, and either tape or hot glue the back.
If you want to reuse the sign for something different after fall, I would suggest using clear tape or masking tape in discreet spots where it will not be seen.
I then hot-glued the mini clipboards onto my felt-covered sign, evenly spaced apart.
Next I printed these free printables, cut them on the lines, and clipped them in. Easy!
