Let me just start out by saying . . . . There are SO many things you can use this frame for. That’s going to require a whole different blog post. Let’s get the basic frame made, then I’ll show you 2 ways I used it.
All you need is:
- paper (I used wrapping paper from Walmart that was gold on side, silver on the other.)
- scissors or a circle punch (I highly recommend this one.)
- glitter
- floating frame (like this one.)
I used this frame . . .
. . . and this punch.
Cut about 12-16 circles from your paper. These can be whatever size you prefer. I used a 2 1/2″ punch.
Now that you have a pile of circles, disassemble your frame.
On one layer of the glass, sprinkle some glitter. It should stick to the glass from the static. If not, you can spray a tiny mist of water to make it stick. Arrange your circles in a way that looks good to you over the glitter layer.
Now lay the 2nd layer of glass over everything.
Put it back in the frame carefully, and you’re finished!! Now here’s 2 ways to style this . . .
As is, hang it on a wall. Colored walls are the perfect place for this!
Now here’s a really neat idea {I was so excited about this :-D} – – –
Using a dry erase marker, write anything you want on the glass. This will erase very easily with a paper towel. You may need some glass cleaner if you leave it on for a really long time. Here I simply free handed a name with black marker. Perfect to match the black and gold decor. 🙂
By the way, the polka dots around the door opening is fabric tape from Joanns. Like washi tape but in fabric form. Love it. The plate and letter are from there as well.
I can’t wait to share all the other ways you can use this frame in a future post! 🙂
There’s nothing like doing something with your hands.
