This Maple Pecan Latte tastes better than Starbucks and is easy to make at home!
Have you tried the Starbucks Maple Pecan Latte or Dunkin’ Donuts Maple Pecan Iced Coffee? There has been mixed feedback about these new drinks, so we recreated our own version that is definitely a winner!
Five of us six sisters are all together in Greece right now, and it’s finally cooling off and putting us in the mood for warm comforting drinks and cozy blankets. š Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts both released a Maple Pecan Latte this fall, and we were able to recreate this flavor at home! So delicious and the perfect flavors for this time of year. So whether you’re spending an evening with your latest crochet project or chatting with friends, this latte will definitely make your time a little more sweet and cozy š
I used a French press to make this in a cinch for all 5 of us. If you don’t own one, you need to get one. We absolutely love this one and use it all the time!
Using a French press will give you that nut flavor without needing a special pecan coffee syrup. Brewing the nuts along with the coffee gives an amazing result!
Put 6 Tbs. of ground coffee (we used Starbucks house blend), 1/3 cup chopped pecans, and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon into the French press. Pour 4 cups boiling water over and let brew for 10 minutes.
While coffee is brewing, put 2 Tbs. butter into a medium saucepan and brown over low-medium heat. Add 1/2 cup brown sugar and 3 c. milk. Stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture is hot (not boiling – if it boils it will get a skin over the top, yuck).
Add 1/2 tsp. maple extract.
Press coffee.
Froth the milk mixture with a little frother like this one.
Into each mug, fill half of the mug with coffee, and half with the milk mixture.
Garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon.

The fact that i could froth up milk like that in a french oress just blew my mind away!!!!
Do you think I could save any extra milk mixture in the refrigerator?
Iām definitely going to try this, but I donāt have a French press. Do you think I can just put chopped pecans in my drip filter?
Yes! Especially if they are finely chopped. Good luck!
