It’s bridal shower season and these colors are to die for! This shower turned out so pretty 🙂 You can’t go wrong with blush pink and gold, am I right?
I was recently the Maid-of-Honor for my sister’s wedding and I was so excited to plan this bridal shower! These colors are so so pretty for a wedding shower . . . there are so many cute party decorations out there, making it so fun to plan 🙂
This backdrop was really easy and inexpensive to make. I found super cute gold and white gift wrap at Hobby Lobby – I love their gift wrap because it is nice and heavyweight. To make the backdrop, I started out with this wrapping paper in the middle and then this striped paper on both sides of the polka dot paper. I used small trim nails to hold it in place on all the corners.
I found these lights at JoAnn’s after Christmas on clearance 75% off! I knew as soon as I saw them that I should get them because a bridal shower needs cute little lights, right?? Using the nails in the corner of the paper, I strung the lights around the edge of the wrapping paper backdrop. Voila! The lights added such a cute little bit of sparkle around the shiny paper!
Also – my other sister did this at her wedding behind the bridal party table and it was so cute! She used silver and white striped and polka dot wrapping paper and it turned out perfect 🙂
These tassels are sooooo stinkin’ cute! And they’re so easy to make! All you need is some tissue paper, scissors, some string, and a glue gun. Follow the tutorial here to learn how to make these adorable tassels.
The “Miss to Mrs.” banner is available here to print for free! I used mini clothespins from Hobby Lobby to attach them to the gold and white bakers twine. So cute!
The table settings were simple and neat. Once again, Hobby Lobby wrapping paper for the win! I measured and cut a piece the size I wanted for the middle of the table, laid it down the center, and taped it under the table at the end just to make sure it would stay. On top of the wrapping paper, I laid down a strip of this glitter tulle (6″ wide). Then I sprinkled this gold foil circle confetti down the center of the wrapping paper and tulle ‘tablerunner’ 🙂 The gold pails are from Hobby Lobby as well – I can’t find them on the website but I know they’re available in-store. I think you can find similar pails at Dollar Tree – Hobby Lobby has them in a few different sizes. They made the perfect little ‘planter pots’ for our succulents! Each table had a different succulent – thanks to Home Depot we were able to find a variety of them for around $4 a piece in the garden center.
The solid pink plates are from Dollar Tree and the gold and pink cake plates are from Hobby Lobby.
We are lucky enough to have a friend that made this amazing cake! She did such an amazing job – the colors were perfect and the cake couldn’t have turned out better 🙂 I found the gold placemat under the cake at Hobby Lobby 🙂
Everything turned out perfect and we got so many compliments on the shower theme 🙂 The lighting wasn’t that great in this little room 🙁
