With a sweet baby girl soon to be joining our family, my mind is in a swirl of preparation, organizing, and planning! After having 2 boys, I know some of the necessities I need to have ready… but in girl version this time around. 🙂 This No Sew Easy Knit Pacifier Clip turned out super soft and adorable. And better yet, for the busy mamas, it took less than an hour to complete.
NO SEW EASY KNIT PACIFIER CLIP
All you need is two strips of knit fabric, a suspender clip and a hot glue gun!
I started out with 2 strips of knit fabric, cut about 1 1/2″ x 30″. I chose a very soft and stretchy knit fabric and love the shade of this purple pink!
Start by folding a knit strip in half and clipping it down somehow. I used a small board and a chip clip. Worked great! Or try a clip board.
As shown in the picture, lay the second strip going across underneath the first.
We are going to begin a 4 strand braid. Take the second strip you laid underneath and cross the right side over the left. Like this:
Now take strand 1 (farthest to the left) and strand 3 and cross them over strands 2 and 4. Like this:
Pull it tight, then cross the middle strands over each other. Right over left. Like this:
Now start again with crossing strands 1and 3 over 2 and 4. And continue with each step until you get toward the end of your fabric.
Once you have just a few inches of fabric left, slide the clip on and take your longest strand and wrap it tightly around the braid several times. Glue in place, then trim your strands.
I can’t wait to use this clip for my little girl!
