Let’s talk yarn–

 

For this current dishcloth project, I used Michael’s Loops & Thread Classic Cotton Yarn. I’m pleased with the quality of this yarn! I purchased it in-store, and they had a nice selection of colors available. 

 

 

For years, I always used this Sugar and Cream yarn. It comes in solid colors, variegated colors . . . LOTS of choices. It also comes in a large cone. You can make a lot of knit dishcloths with this size cone!

 

Recently, I’ve come across this cotton yarn from Hobby Lobby. I absolutely LOVE it! There is such a variety of colors and variegations; there are 71 choices on Hobby Lobby’s website!  

 

Whatever yarn you go with, here are the key points you need to make sure of:

• make sure your yarn is 100% cotton

• it is a medium #4 weight yarn

• have a couple of ounces to work with

 

These make really cute gifts to give to teachers, a host, a co-worker, a friend, a delivery person, your hair stylist; everyone loves them! Pair it with a Bath & Body Works soap, and it makes a cute gift! And, these are nice to keep a little stash of on hand, so if you need a last minute gift, you can just grab one from your stash. 🙂
