Wish you could do homemade gifts but just don’t have the time for that? Give your gift card the homemade personal touch by making these quick and super cheap pop up gift card holders!
I found these cute buffalo plaid and car/Christmas tree papers at Hobby Lobby! They have sales on their open stock paper often . . . these sheets were just 25 cents each.
Next I cut 2 {10 x 4 inch} pieces. One from each paper.
Then I glued the 2 pieces that I just cut together, back to back. It should look like this. I used this type of glue.
Next you will just make folds at 1 3/4″, 4 1/2″ , 5 3/4″, and 7″. They will all be “valley” folds except the 5 3/4″ one will be a “mountain” fold. If you don’t know what those folds mean, don’t worry, :-), just look at the picture below! See how the one I am pointing to is shaped like a mountain and the rest like valleys?
Now you want to glue that mountain fold together. Just put the glue along the bottom edge and seal shut.
It should look like this.
Next I just used the top of my glue and traced around it to make the little tab to pull out the gift card.
Trace –
And cut.
The last step is to make slits for the gift card to fit in. You will make the slits go almost to the edge.
Then just slide your gift card in!
I tied mine with a bit of twine and scrap pine and berries to keep it closed. You could also use a sticker or piece of ribbon! So cute.
By the way, who loves Panera? 😀 One of my favorites.
