How to Cook Canned Biscuits in an Air Fryer:
- Choosing the Right Biscuits: I use Great Value “Grands” – I think they taste just as good as the actual “Grands” biscuits, but anything like this in the can that pops open will work.
2. Preparing the Air Fryer: You don’t have to preheat your air fryer when cooking canned biscuits, but you do need to give the basket a light coating of cooking spray or a brush of oil. This will make sure they don’t stick, AND it will help give them a crispy outside.
3. Arranging the Biscuits: Place the canned biscuits in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each biscuit to allow for proper air circulation. Avoid overcrowding the basket for best results. You can squeeze all 8 in there, but if you want your biscuits to be perfectly round, do 4 at a time. Otherwise they’re rising into each other and losing their perfect circle shape. If that doesn’t matter to you, then put all 8 in there! 😊
4. Cooking Time and Temperature: Turn your air fryer to 350F (180C). They’ll cook for a total of 6-8 minutes, depending on the size and thickness of the biscuits. Remember, air fryers can be different, so adjust the cooking time as needed based on yours. My biscuits need exactly 7 minutes.
5. Flipping and Checking for Doneness: About halfway through the cooking process, gently flip the biscuits using tongs so that they get brown on both sides. Once they reach a beautiful golden hue and puff up nicely, remove them from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving plate or wire rack to cool a little bit before you enjoy them.
Now that your air fryer biscuits are hot out of the basket, it’s time to get creative with serving suggestions and flavor variations. Serve them with your favorite breakfast like scrambled eggs, bacon, or sausage for a hearty morning meal. For a savory twist, brush the biscuits with melted butter infused with garlic, herbs, or grated cheese before serving.
