Chocolate Turtle Cupcakes { with Caramel Buttercream }
I love cupcakes!!! I especially love gourmet cupcakes with fun flavor combinations. Chocolate, caramel, and pecans… Mmmmm. These Chocolate Turtle Cupcakes are a breeze to put together and will make you look like a Cupcake Pro. 😉
*For the Caramel Buttercream, I used Hershey’s caramel syrup. It is the perfect thin consistency for making the frosting smooth. Such a good sweet caramel flavor!
*For the cupcake drizzle, I used Smucker’s caramel sauce. This needs to be thick enough so it doesn’t run all over, and the Smucker’s sauce is perfect. Be sure your cupcakes are cold and the sauce is cold, and your *drizzles* will stay right in place.
OK….. so to make these cupcakes…
- Start with you favorite chocolate cupcake.
- Whip up some Caramel Buttercream (Recipe below).
- Pipe a big swirl of frosting on each cupcake.
- Drizzle them with some Smucker’s caramel sauce.
- Top with mini chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
