Whenever the weather gets a *touch* cooler, I instantly snap into crochet mode šŸ™‚ I don’t know what it is, but something about fall gets me in the mood for crocheting! Especially when Christmas is coming up – I love crocheting gifts for the special people in my life! This past month, my sister and I visited our sister in Thessaloniki, Greece – we had so much fun planning projects together and getting DIY ideas from some little shops downtown! One of the days we visited a cute little yarn shop downtown and I found this super soft 25% merino wool yarn . . . I KNEW it had to be a crochet mason jar cozy as soon as I felt it! It’s so thick and soft, and the hombre look is adorable! I came up with this Easy Crochet Mason Jar Cozy Pattern in an afternoon – it’s a fun and easy project for any crochet-lover out there! šŸ™‚

Dress up any plain old Mason jar with a cozy and fill it with goodies for a Christmas gift . . . Pinterest is full of ideas šŸ™‚ A jar with an ‘at-home manicure or pedicure’ is such a cute idea! Or a jar with a savory soup mix or a sweet brownie mix in it is the perfect idea for someone who loves cooking or baking! I’m thinking of some homemade treats in a jar for some of my Christmas gifts this year šŸ™‚

If you don’t want to give your jar and cozy away, keep it for yourself! Jars are great for keeping bathrooms organized – store toothbrushes, makeup brushes, cotton balls/pads, or Q-tips in them! Or for making your desk or work-space a little less ‘busy-looking’ – use the jar as a utensil holder for pens, pencils, and paintbrushes. Or for keeping your kitchen less cluttered and more organized – store coffee beans, pasta, sugar, or dry beans in a jar! If you make your cozy to match your house or room decor, place your jar on an end table, dresser, or dining room table and stick some flowers in it!

If you are planning on using this cozy over a Mason jar for a beverage, I recommend putting it on the jar before you pour your beverage into the jar. That way you’ll prevent any possibility of spilling while putting the cozy on šŸ™‚
