Everyone loves a good meatball, right? This Greek style meatball recipe is a nice aromatic, flavorful one filled with herbs, onion, and garlic! They’re also nice and juicy…..because who likes a dry meatball??

One of the great thing about meatballs is that you can serve them in SO many ways — add some sauce and serve spaghetti & meatballs, serve alongside mashed potatoes or rice….it’s such a versatile meat dish!

Typically, Greek meatballs are made with loads of fresh-chopped herbs instead of dry….but to make this “easy” we’ll use dry in this recipe since we don’t always have fresh herbs on hand.

You can definitely substitute the dried herbs for fresh, though – it does take it up a notch!

Mmm…this sauce with the meatballs is the *perfect* combo!

How to make Greek Meatballs:

In a large bowl, mix the ground meat, eggs, salt, and pepper.

(I typically use a pork-beef mixture because that is common here in Greece. But you can definitely use all pork or all beef!)

Next, you’ll put several things in your blender: onion, garlic, bread, oil, milk, and spices. Blend until smooth.

(If you don’t have a blender, don’t worry! Just soak your bread in the milk and oil and then mash it really well with a fork….dice onions really finely, and don’t forget the spices.) šŸ™‚

After you blend, you’ll have a nice moisture-adding mix to add to your meatballs.

Pour that mixture into your meat mixture and mix everything up really well.

When it’s mixed well, you’ll notice that it suddenly “binds,” or holds together well. This is what you want for good meatballs!

Form into meatballs!

Greek “meatballs” are typically flatter, similar to a small burger…..but you can definitely make them round like a traditional meatball. I usually do.
