Simple and easy pallet wood project
This pallet wood framed hymn sign is so simple to make with just some scrap wood, and a page out of a hymn book!
A missionary’s wife & I made these together while I was in Africa, and they were done in just a short afternoon. She had bought a hymn book from a thrift store, so we just cut out the hymn pages that we wanted to use . . . and then framed them with an easy rustic pallet wood frame.
Cut your pallet wood following the diagram below:
Using wood glue. glue the frame pieces together as pictured below.
Use clamps to hold together until dry.
Then, I just used dots of hot glue in the corners of the hymn page to attach the paper to the frame.
If you want to go one step further :-), you can use a Cricut machine to add the hymn title over top.
We love our pallet wood projects! 😉 Here are more ideas to get you inspired for your next project!
Hello! This is a cool project. I would like to make something similar for family members… do you mind answering a few questions about your process? How do you put the hymn into the frame? Do you have a glass cover? Do you have a larger paper attached to the back and the hymn glued in the center? Just curious! Thank you!
I did not use glass. You could tho!
I just stapled the hymn paper onto the back of the frame.
