FLOAT POPSICLES
These warm days need one thing……. Frozen Treats! With just a short time left before it’s back to school, everyone is doing their best to enjoy these last few weeks of summer fun.
One of my favorite summer time treats has always been Root Beer Floats! And of course, to make things much more interesting, we would always want to try out different kinds of pop floats. Fanta is another favorite… who doesn’t love Dreamsicle?!? If you love floats, why don’t you try out these Float Popsicles? Let the kids choose their favorite soda (or pop as we grew up saying š ) and make up a batch for afternoon treats.
Keep reading for the quick and simple instructions.
Items Needed:
- popsicle molds (or small plastic or paper cups)
- popsicle sticks
- soda
- vanilla ice cream
First, I froze small containers of each soda flavor until it became slushy.
Once frozen, break it up and make sure there are no large chunks.
Take the slush and vanilla ice cream and simply layer them in the molds, beginning and ending with the soda slush.
I let mine sit out a short time so the mixtures could slightly melt together before freezing them solid.
Freeze overnight.
Easy Peasy!
If your kiddos LOVE popsicles, here’s another to try!
