When you live somewhere that is HOT most of the year, you drink a lot of COLD drinks. Just give me something to cool me off!! And in Arizona we have a lot of HOT days. I don’t just mean hot, I mean INSANELY HOT!! You know it’s hot when your car temperature reads 119 degrees.
Boy, that heat is coming before we know it, and I’m getting ready with a few new drink recipes.
It gets a bit boring drinking the same thing, and you just need a new recipe of something that is good, quick and something to just change things up. I’ve always loved Dairy Queen’s Orange Julius. Have you had one? Oh, the orange, creamy cold drink is so refreshing!
And with only a few ingredients you can make your own at home. I literally made mine in like 2 minutes!
FROTHY ORANGE SMOOTHIE
{TASTES LIKE A DAIRY QUEEN ORANGE JULIUS!}

HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS YOU NEED:
- ice
- orange juice
- orange juice concentrate
- milk
- sweetener
- vanilla
Our absolute favorite appliance to use for any type of smoothie or blended drink is the NutriBullet. It always blends it all so smoothly, and leaves no “chunks” in your drink. When you’re drinking something that is supposed to be smooth, there is nothing worse than getting a “chunk.”
HERE’S HOW TO MAKE A FROTHY ORANGE SMOOTHIE:
Start with 1 cup of ice in your blender.
Add 1 cup of orange juice.
Add 1 cup of milk.
Add 1/3 cup of frozen orange juice concentrate.
Add 2-3 Tablespoons of sugar or other sweetener.
Add 1/2 Tablespoon of vanilla extract.
I love using this pure, Mexican vanilla!
Blend until smooth.
Enjoy!
Yup, that’s it! Seriously, it couldn’t get any easier than this. 🙂 I love this fresh, frothy orange creamy drink.
It is SO SATISFYING on a hot day, or any day for that matter!
