HANGING FLORAL GLOBE DECORATION
This floral globe decoration was so much fun to make. My little girl is growing up fast…. I need to remake her room from nursery to cutesy little girl! I’m not quite ready to purchase new furniture, so I am gathering and making some decor so it is ready to go when the time comes!
I recently found the CUTEST white framed mirror to put above her dresser. It was a major mark down clearance item and made me so happy I found it!!
This HANGING FLORAL GLOBE will look perfect in the corner above her comfy pink chair.
Besides looking adorable in a baby or little girl’s room, these floral globes would also make pretty and inexpensive decor for a bridal shower, wedding, baby shower, etc… anywhere you need some pretty and feminine decor!
To make a hanging floral globe, you only need a few supplies.
-
2 – 12″ wood hoops
-
greenery (I used a mix of ferns, eucalyptus and leaves)
-
3 large flowers, small flowers for filler if desired
-
hot glue gun and sticks
-
fishing line or string
Step one:
Take apart the hoops, and using one outer ring and both inner rings, glue them together at the top and bottom making a globe shape. Like this-
Step two:
Position some greenery along the bottom of the rings, letting some drape out the bottom. Once you are happy with how it looks, use the glue gun to glue everything in place. I found it helpful to hang the globe from a kitchen cabinet knob, letting it sit just above the counter. It was the perfect spot for me to arrange the floral.
Step three:
Position the large flowers on top of the greenery, being sure to view it from all sides and angles. Consider where it will be hung and be sure it looks pretty from that particular height and angle before gluing them in place.
Step four:
Find a place to hang your pretty floral globe! I like to use fishing line, so the string is invisible.
SO EASY!
