- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (dark, milk, or semi-sweet)

- Prepare the Ingredients: Start by melting the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. This usually takes about 20-30 seconds. Be careful not to overheat it; you want it just melted, not boiling.
- Mix the Sugars and Butter: Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined. The brown sugar gives the cookie a rich, caramel-like flavor, while the granulated sugar helps it to spread just the right amount.
- Add Vanilla and Salt: Stir in the vanilla extract and salt. The vanilla adds depth to the flavor, and the salt enhances all the sweet elements.

- Shape and Bake: Form the dough into a cookie shape directly in your bowl. Microwave on high for about 45 seconds, depending on your microwave’s power. Keep an eye on it; the cookie should look set but still slightly undercooked in the center for that perfect gooey texture.
