The shop owner of StyleThreadsBoutique, Virginia, recently reached out to me about collaborating with her shop. I love new clothes so, of course, I was on board. I’ve bought a few different items from her in the past and I’ve loved everything I’ve gotten . . .
StyleThreadsBoutique is an online boutique full of pretty and feminine modest skirts, dresses, blouses, graphic tees, accessories, and matching Mommy and me outfits. I love the cute modest clothing options this site offers! And everything is very reasonably priced – I purchased the Emma and the Rory denim skirts a while back and I love them so much! I feel like most of the time when I’m looking for a cute skirt or dress, I can’t find one that is cute, modest, and affordable. Virginia’s shop offers all of those things 😉
*I have a promo code for you later on in this post 😉
To start off with, this is the Lindsey Striped Modest Midi Dress (similar dress linked here as this one isn’t carried any more). This is a cute, casual, everyday knit dress with a drawstring waist and pockets. The neck is a heather gray crew neck – high enough that you don’t need to layer with a cami or halftee, making it a perfect modest dress for a summer day. (I did wear a full slip under mine). It’s a nice thin knit material, but I don’t feel like it was too shapey. I did size up to a large in this (normally a small/medium) – since the skirt part of the dress tapers in a bit at the bottom I wanted to be sure it wouldn’t be too tight, especially since I plan to wear it to church a lot this summer! It’s a great length and would be cute paired with some fun heeled sandals and a denim jacket for date night. This dress is $37 which I think is a reasonable price for such a great dress. (Virginia runs sales frequently via her Instagram page so be sure to give her a follow so you know when she offers discounts!)
I love the way the dress fits especially at the bottom – it’s kind of like a pencil-skirt fit which I love! It’s not too full around the bottom and has a couple small slits to make it easy to walk in.
Next is the Sylvie Basic Modest Pocket Tee in blush (similar linked here). I find myself gravitating toward easy-wear tees lately. I like shirts that are simple, lightweight, breathable – on these humid summer days, I want to be as comfortable as I can be 😉 This shirt is a bit longer which I personally love because I usually tuck or tie my shirts in the front to look a little more polished (short torso problems over here). I got a medium and it fits a bit loose – if you prefer a more form-fitting shirt, just go down a size. This shirt also comes in a pretty red color which would be so pretty for July Fourth or paired with a cozy sweater during the holiday season! This comfy tee is only $24! That’s a great price for this shirt – it’s great quality and is a summer staple in my closet.

*I knotted mine in the front on this day, but I’ve also worn it front tucked as well and it’s really cute!
This sleeveless Gracie Leopard Print Modest Maxi Dress is beautifuuuullll!! And I think it’s my favorite thing from Virginia’s shop so far! (Similar linked here)
This fabric is thin and so soft – it’s a great dress for the summer because of that! It’s a great length to wear with heels, too. I wore it to church Sunday morning with my black heeled sandals . . . such a cute outfit!
I’m pretty picky about pockets when it comes to dresses – I love dresses with pockets but sometimes the pockets are in the wrong spot and accentuate my hips. On this dress, the pockets are in the *perfect* place and I’m not just saying that. They’re a little lower than where pockets are normally on dresses but still in a comfortable spot for me to actually put my hands in my pockets.
This dress is $42 which I feel like is a great price for such a perfect dress. I’m normally a medium in dresses but this one I got in a size small since it is sized a bit oversized, and it fits like a glove. I know I’m gonna end up wearing this so much this summer. I paired it with a denim jacket but if you want to wear it sleeveless, the neck comes up nice and high; and the armholes are not too big or gaping.
