SUNNY DAY SMOOTHIE – a Lemon Pineapple Refresher
Hot, muggy TN summer days just demand for us mamas to supply cold, healthy drinks to everyone! My little guys love ice water and I’m so grateful for that, but every now and then, I like to surprise them with a ‘shake’ (as they call every type of smoothie. š ) Our most recent being the Sunny Day Smoothie.
I’m really loving lemonade this summer…. I’ve always loved it, but I’ve just been craving it ALL. THE. TIME. lately. Anyone else having trouble finding the cans of frozen concentrate?!? It is my favorite lemonade, because of it tartness, pulp, and real lemon taste. But I have had to go searching for it since several of our grocery stores don’t carry it.
Lemonade + Ginger Ale = YUM
Lemonade + Tea = YUM
Lemonade + any type of fruit juice = YUM
I hadn’t thought to mix lemonade with pineapple until one of my sisters reminded me of this old family recipe!
This is so yummy! The lemon and pineapple combination gives a sweet tart tropical blend that is pure deliciousness.
Simply blend lemonade (I like to buy frozen concentrate!) and lemon yogurt with frozen pineapple chunks and pineapple sherbet. So simple. And you’ve got a SUNNY DAY SMOOTHIE. š
Here’s another hot, muggy, summer day drink for ya…. this is a Six Clever Sisters’ FAVE, so be sure to check it out…..
